SHOOT IT TWICE. Just kidding. SHOOT IT THREE TIMES! Kidding again, sorry. ;D The way I see it you have a couple more choices: 1. Keep the radio and loose the wife. 2. Keep the wife and loose the radio. 3. Loose the radio AND the wife then move in with P, he has a lot of neat toys! With NO TVI!!!;D

If my wife finds out I'm hanging out here with people who sleep hanging upside down in a closet wearing a beenie it would confirm all her suspicions about me and she'd probally leave I'm pondering my options.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've heard he is getting better. He's not chasing cars anymore.

What is your RF getting into, we'll try to solve each piece one at a time. If I am correct in thinking, it's just the audio in your TV with a barefoot radio, the TV is the problem. Thats a big problem because most TVs don't have a seperate amplifier section where you could shield the low Z inputs. if you have a VCR hooked to it, or even satellite, use the audio outputs into a stereo, and mute the TV. I had to do this because; after years of noise on sites, I have lost some hearing. Movies on TV with little speakers don't have the dynamic range for me to hear. When they whisper I have to turn it up, then when the loud parts come, turn it down. With the amp and speakers it hits a happy medium. In your case, you can shield the low Z. I got my beenie, so lets hunt the boogie man.

P, yes the tv audio is the problem. It also gets into the computer sound system and the home theater. However the last two are no problem since I can just turn them off. We recently switched from cable to direct tv but that is not the issue cause the problem was the same with cable. I have a three day weekend coming so I will mess with some more.

Install high pass filters on all home equipment.Use a good low pass filter on your base. On your phone junction box,on each wire coming in, add a ceracmic disk capacitor from hot to ground.Try different values until you get the desired result.

Report time. The high pass filters got rid of 95% of the audio interference. Just a wee little bit comes through on the export radios, nothing at all with the regular cb's. What would be a good brand low pass filter to look for. The one I have now is some no name filter I got back in 1977 and I don't think it ever worked very well if at all.
