Two dang decades. I guess it takes some a might longer to figure out where the door is.
Heck I thought you was gonna be talkin' about PRC-77s or 2-Niner-2s or maybe even RATT Rigs. (did 36C for awhile)

To tell you the truth I was beginning to think I was the only military guy that was ever gonna be on here.

Well from 11/1978 to 2/1981 I spent in the Army National Guard and from 2/1981 to 2/1984 I spent in the USMC. Yes I did have to go through both boot camps. Some of us just never learn. ;D

Yup , I lugged an M-16 through the jungle, counted many kills. Made E-7. Yup, I was an Army Man . Well, the M-16 was plastic, the jungle was a 20 or 30 acre patch of pine woods in S. Jersey (yes there is a Mafia). The kills were: Jimmy, Gary, Dennis, Wesley, Michael, Ronnie, & JO. Ages 9-12 . Those are some of the best memories I have. We would run home to watch the news, it was 1967. Walter Cronkike <SP> would run the Viet-Nam footage, and we were glued to that TV. It taught me that; war or peace, ya'll are truly heros. I have slept well all my life knowing guys like ya'll were out there, well me, and Dan Wesson 15-2 with a 6" barrel. Thanks, P[/b]

P, I wish everyone that calls themselves Americans felt the same way. It really pisses me off and at the same time it hurts my heart knowing people that were born in this country can condem our nations leaders and troops for keeping us free. Granted, our country is not perfect, and it will never be. The way I see it, if someone don't like the USA, they need to leave it! TOM DASH-HELL AND HALF OF HOLLYWOOD NEEDS TO BE THE FIRST ONES ACROSS THE BORDER!! I may be crossing the line here but I am SICK of all the crap going on in politics today. Well, I could go on and on but this isn't the place to do it. Once I start, it can be hard to stop. Be glad I didn't mention U of M. I enlisted into the USMC when I was 17 wears old. I didn't go in to protect anyone, I just thought the Marines were cool. I grew up and matured alot in those 11 weeks in basic. I learned alot about myself and other people. That was the hardest time of my life but it was also the best. I was discharged a year and a half later with a bone disease but I would do it all again in a heartbeat just so I could sit here and pregnant dog Jabba in public and not have to hide from any goverment "death squad". Some Americans need to wake up to reality and see the world for what it is.....and not for what they want it to be. Parts of this post were erased so I wouldn't offend too many. That is something special about this country, we still have the freedom of speach. We are not suposed to agree all the time, right? This is just my opinion. As long as i'm an American.......NOBODY can take that away.
