;DI know there are a lot of antennas out there, but in my case and the restrictions that they have here where I live, the Shakespear Big Stick works well and easy to hide.

I've always lived rural areas, just lucky I guess. I can't imagime not being able to string at least 1 longwire for SWL. My super scanner sticks out like a sore thumb from the road. 73.

i remember when me and my buddies were first getting into cb that's what we had. we nailed a bunch of two by 4's together and U bolted the shakespeare on top and on the air we went! talked ground wave real well, about 60 miles. of course we were right on top of a hill too.

I just got back into the radio thing after a long stint out of it and i know have an old cobra 139 with a crystal box and 1o2" whip i took off my pickup mounted on top of my house that i have talked to the uk on...amazes me to no end... yg234
